Ride your way. Eat what you need, when you need it. Sixteen products, four formats, in whatever order suits the ride.

A good starting point Early miles: a bar. As the pace lifts: chews and gels. All the way: an electrolyte drink in your bottle. When you want a lift: Desto, Doppio, Amaro or Attivo.
When to take Before and during your ride. Start early, before energy drops.
Carbs per hour Many riders aim for 60 to 90g an hour on long rides. A pack of chews (42g) and a 22g gel makes 64g. A Limon (45g) and a pack of chews makes 87g. Two Limon make 90g.
Gels 22g to 45g each. Straight from the pack, or add one to your bottle, as every Veloforte gel dissolves in water.
Chews Six to a pack, about 7g of carbohydrate a piece. Take one at a time and set the pace.
Bars A few bites at a time, straight from a jersey pocket.
Drink mixes A sachet in your bottle with water, and two to three good gulps every 10 to 15 minutes. Passo and Attivo are carbohydrate-electrolyte drinks, and carbohydrate-electrolyte solutions contribute to the maintenance of endurance performance and enhance the absorption of water during prolonged endurance exercise (consume 2 sachets per litre of water in 24 hours to help support prolonged exercise).
Train your gut If higher intakes are new to you, build up gradually in training and try anything new on a training ride first.
Caffeine Desto, Doppio, Amaro and Attivo carry 75mg each. Keep total caffeine below 375mg a day, the equivalent of five of these items.
After the ride Our Recover range picks up where this box leaves off.
