For sessions lasting more than 90 minutes it's important to start re-fuelling from the start. Eat little & often & always keep well hydrated. Mix and match our delicious range to reach your energy target.
On average our energy bars contain 35g carbohydrates, our gels contain 22g carbohydrates, our chews contain up to 44g carbohydrates & there is 22g of natural energy in our energy and electrolyte drinks too.

Fuelling for exercise is well understood, but for any workout that lasts longer than 90 minutes it is essential that you fuel for your recovery too.(30,31) The best way to do this is with natural & delicious real-food recovery protein powders and bars, with the optimal balance of Carbohydrates and Protein.(16-18)

Fuelling your recovery means you should aim to rehydrate, replenish glycogen stores & start to rebuild muscle within the first 30 minutes after exercise.(30)

Your muscles store energy in the form of glycogen that is released when you exercise. When you work hard your muscles' stores of glycogen are depleted & this is known as the Glycogen Debt. To optimise recovery it is essential to top up these stores - the quicker the better.
